WHAT IS BBQARM?
BBQARM is a swing-away arm designed to attach to your caravan or camper drawbar for your camping portable bbq.
Also available in an option to fit to your Hayman Reese style vehicle tow-hitch receiver. The arm and tray are interchangeable between the two mounting brackets.
It assembles in 3 sections.
1. MOUNTING BRACKET
UNIVERSAL DRAWBAR MOUNT is custom designed to fit most caravan/camper drawbars/a-frames (50mm or 2 inch drawbars) without the need for drilling holes or welding. It is made from heavy-duty 5mm steel and weighs only 2.7kg. The bracket is 175mm long and will require this much space on your drawbar.
VEHICLE TOW-HITCH MOUNT is custom designed to fit most Hayman Reese style tow-hitch receivers. Total weight is 3kg.
2. ARM - made from galvanised, black textured powder-coated tube in 3 different lengths 650mm, 850mm and our heavy duty 1mtr length. Custom lengths can be made on request. Arms weights are 650mm 1.65kg; 850mm 1.95kg & 1mtr arm is 2.2kg.
3. TRAY - made from 2.5mm aluminium chequer-plate with approx. 20mm upturned edges all around. Two tray sizes. Our regular tray is 560mm x 360mm and is designed to fit Weber BabyQ and Weber Q2000. Our large tray is 700mm x 500mm and is designed to suit Ziegler Browns, Ziggys, Weber Family and larger portable bbqs and burners. Regular tray weighs 2.5kg and large tray weighs 3.5kg.
WHAT IS BBQARM-MATE?
BBQARM-MATE is a light weight aluminium swing-arm designed to attach to your existing BBQARM to create a handy side table for your BBQ and BBQARM. It will also clamp to any round tube that a normal jockey wheel clamp will allow with 48mm diameter. Total weight of BBQARM-MATE is 4.2kg and is rated to carry up to 20kg.
CAN BBQARM and BBQARM-MATE STAY ON MY VAN OUTDOORS?
Yes BBQARM including mount, arm, plate and fixings are designed for outdoor use. Trays are light-weight aluminium and designed for Australian conditions.
DO I HAVE TO REMOVE BBQARM /BBQARM-MATE FROM MY CARAVAN?
The arm and mount is designed to stay on at all times. Your BBQ and the tray section will need to be packed away while in transit.
DO I INSTALL BBQARM ON FRONT DRAWBAR OR REAR BAR OF CARAVAN?
BBQARM can be fitted to either the front or rear. You will need to consider the length of the arm. You will need to purchase the BBQARM Bundle that includes the Universal Drawbar Mount.
CAN I USE MY BBQARM ON MY TOW VEHICLE?
BBQARM can be fitted to your vehicle if you have a Hayman Reese style tow-hitch receiver. You will need to purchase the BBQARM Bundle that includes the Vehicle Tow-Hitch Mount that will fit to your 50mm Hayman Reese style tow-hitch receiver. If you already have a BBQARM on your van or camper, you only need to purchase the Vehicle Tow-Hitch mount (bracket) on its own and your Arm and Tray can be used on both van and vehicle mounts/brackets.
WHAT WEIGHT WILL BBQARM CARRY?
BBQARM is designed to sit your portable camping barbecues on. It can also be used as a bench top, kitchen preparation, bait board or even drinks table. This in mind, it has been rated to carry up to 30kg.
WHAT WEIGHT WILL BBQARM-MATE CARRY?
BBQARM-MATE is designed as a handy side table. However it is sturdy enough to place your portable camping bbq or gas burners on. This in mind, it has been rated to carry up to 20kg.
HOW HEAVY IS MY BBQARM?
The complete kit (ARM, TRAY & MOUNT) weighs between 7.5kg - 8.5kg depending on tray size and mount type.
MOUNTS: Universal drawbar mount 2.7kg; vehicle tow-hitch mount 3kg
TRAYS: Regular tray 2.5kg & Large tray 3.5kg
ARMS: 650mm 1.65kg; 850mm 1.95kg & 1mtr 2.2kg.
